  <h4>ModelONE - One Man Auger</h4> The Ground Hog ModelONE is a small, hand-held, one-man auger that is designed from the ground up for Commercial and Rental use and also for a great end-user experience. Ground Hog Inc. has been making larger earthdrills for over 70 years and when we decided to build a smaller one-man machine, we wanted it to be the best. One-man earth drills have been around a long time and they haven’t changed much. We wanted to design a high quality machine that is improved and refined in every possible way. We think we have accomplished that goal. At the heart of the ModelONE is the transmission and it is designed to take abuse. A 3-inch centrifugal clutch transfers the engine’s power to heat-treated billet steel gears. Oversized bearings are used throughout. The sealed, grease-filled cast aluminum gearcase is heavily reinforced with ribbing to make it incredibly strong without adding unnecessary weight. All of this allows the transmission to easily handle the torque, shock and also the impact and side stresses on the auger bit. The handlebar is comfortable and the controls are easy to use. The full wrap-around handlebar has a thick and durable cushioned grip surface that gives comfort and control to the operator. There is a trigger-type, spring-return throttle that allows for precise control and a kill switch is located conveniently above the throttle. The handlebar and the gearcase are also designed to make the machine as short as possible to allow the operator to start digging a hole at a lower, more comfortable and controlled hand position. The ModelONE is rugged and reliable and is powered by a Honda® GX35 4-Stroke engine. The handlebar assembly is made from steel and has a durable powder coated finish. The ModelONE power unit and the auger bits themselves are optimized to work together as a system. The engine speed and torque, the transmission gear ratio, as well as the angle of the auger blades and the pitch of the flites, work together to provide maximum digging power while minimizing strain on the operator. With the ModelONE, you get plenty of power and control with less fatigue. The ModelONE has a 1-inch round auger drive and will handle up to an 8” auger bit. Bits are available in 2”, 4”, 6” and 8” and all of the bits are 36 inches long. The auger bits for the ModelONE feature a new, unique blade type that results in drastically longer blade life compared to other blade designs. Each blade can be rotated 180 degrees for a new cutting edge and the inner blades can be moved outward as the outer blades wear out. This gives you almost 6 times more life out of a set of blades on an 8” bit. Augers for the ModeONE use the same heavy-duty center Fishtail pilot as Ground Hog’s Combo and Standard series augers, which are used on much larger pieces of equipment. All of the ModelONE augers use the same blades and center pilots to make re-ordering easy. There is an available stand for the ModelONE that holds the power unit and 4 auger bits. The stand will also allow for the power unit to be hung with an auger attached. The stand with power unit and 4 augers takes up approximately 4.5 square feet of floor space and also has storage for extra auger drive pins. The ModelONE is available in an economical package that includes the Power Unit, Stand and 2”, 4”, 6” and 8” bits.

  <h4>Bluebird - Chipper</h4> The Bluebird CH400 chipper is a 13-horsepower gas-powered commercial wood chipper or shredder with a Honda GX390 engine. The chipper uses a cutting mechanism to cut branches into chips or mulch. The CH400 can chip up to a four-inch diameter limb or branch. The CH400 has an in feed throat opening that is six-inches by five-inches and a discharge chute that is 36-inches above the ground. It features two double-edged reversible hardened steel cutting blades. This model is towable behind a lawn or garden tractor, ATV, or UTV with the optional Off-Road Tow Package. It is self-feeding and can hold up to 204.8 fluid ounces (1.6 gallons) of fuel. The chipper weighs 300 pounds but includes two wheels for maneuverability. The chipper also includes four lift handles for loading, unloading, and portability. Its frame is made of welded six gauge steel for durability. The CH400 model is “CARB compliant,” meaning that the chainsaw meets the California Air Resources Board’s rules and regulations for air pollution. It also features an emergency stop control on the in-feed chute and engine safety switches in case of emergencies.
